About Escape from Westfield: Xmas
A long time ago when the internet was young, there came a time of online Choose Your Own Adventure stories. That's basically what you're looking at now. When originally written, it was optimized for the latest in hamster-run technology (Midi, AOL, slow dial-up, IE 4.0, Netscape Navigator, and framesets, HTML, to name a few of the shining examples). To get it to run, I've jacked it up with HTML5, CSS3, a little mix of JQuery, and web standards. This is the equivalent of putting a state-of-the-art engine into a 1975 Pinto. But at least it runs better.
